Our store is accepting applications for a full-time position as Retail Store Clerk.
A Retail Store Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, and ensuring that customers receive the correct products and services they need. The Retail Store Clerk assists customers with inquiries, advises on product selection, and completes transactions using cash registers and other equipment. They work closely with other team members to maintain inventory levels, assist with merchandising and pricing, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in the electrical profession is a must.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience, preferably in the electrical industry.
- Strong customer service skills
- Computer Skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed
- Familiarity with electrical products and terminology is a plus
- A criminal background record check is required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with their inquiries regarding products and services
- Provide product knowledge and advice on selection to customers
- Process sales transactions using cash registers and other equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assisted with stock replenishment
- Assist in keeping the store clean and organized
- Prepare customer orders (Online and in-store orders)
- Receive and process incoming shipments of products and supplies
- Help with pricing and merchandising of products
- Stay informed about new products and industry trends
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient store operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager or supervisor
Working Conditions: Retail Store Clerk will be required to work in a retail store environment that may include long-standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects. They will work with electrical products and must follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. They may work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
